Metaverses, the great immersive revolution

This book is the first in Spanish language to discuss the metaverse, the great revolution of the immersive Internet, a turning point that will change technology, economy and society as we know it.

Throughout these pages, the author Oscar Peña, explains how technology and society have evolved to make it possible for us to talk about the metaverse today.

The book is accompanied by numerous interviews with XR industry leaders. It also addresses the tools and solutions that currently allow us to build and connect both worlds.

In our interview, Peña highlights Spacecreator’s mission to democratize access to virtual space creation and how we are working to make this vision a reality. Our focus on facilitating space creation, from artists and designers to educators and businesses, sets us apart in a constantly evolving market.

Peña also highlights our user-friendly and highly customizable platform as one of the best in the market. With our intuitive software and real-time editing tools, anyone can create and experiment with high-quality virtual worlds without any prior technical knowledge.

In the interview, we also discuss how we are working to leverage the metaverse potential to improve education and workspaces. By allowing people to interact in a 3D environment, we are transforming the way they learn, connect and communicate.

In conclusion, being included in the book Metaverses: The Great Immersive Revolution is recognition of our commitment, work, and effort.

We are excited to see what the future holds!

Who is Oscar Peña?

Óscar Peña, fits all the requirements to be a true geek. A devourer of science fiction books, lover and collector of movies – as a good son of a film and TV editor and director -, and in love with photography.

Óscar joined Wunderman Thompson in September 2020 as the Director of Innovation and Technology. He did so in the middle of a pandemic, eager to contribute his knowledge and vision to an extraordinary team of people specializing in technology, data, and digital production.

He made the jump from Grey, another agency in the WPP group, where he was linked for 11 years, working as a digital director and providing experience and muscle to digital projects for brands in different categories such as Banco Sabadell, PortAventura, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC), Revlon Pro, Ministry of Labor, Volvo, Seat, Renault, Vileda, Allianz, Soler y Palau, Vueling, Domino’s Pizza, Grupo Festina, Universidad Europea de Madrid, and Vodafone, among others.

Passionate about his work, innovation, and knowledge, he combines his professional profile with the passion of sharing what he has learned. This is the reason he has written more than 17 books for Anaya and Pearson Education, and is a professor of digital strategy and creative innovation at the Barcelona School of Creativity, EAE Business School, and the University of Málaga, among others.

Before joining the advertising industry he worked in the publishing world, editing more than twelve titles focused on the new economy, e-commerce, technology applied to business, CRM and foreign trade, as well as content syndication projects at a pivotal time for the Internet in Spain. He’s proud to have been the only Chief Editor in Spain to have managed to syndicate the American content of Wired and Business 2.0, the two yardsticks that accompany my life.
